This week we continued working on creating infographics. Students are using data about food insecurity to create an infographic using Google Documents. We will continue to work on this assignment next week.
For our weekly reading discussion, we read the story The Tree by Dana Lyons.
This week, to continue learning about reports, students reviewed the success criteria of different sections of a report and evaluated a sample body and conclusion of a report.
In Math, we continued practicing our addition and subtraction skills. Students worked on solving word problems involving the addition and subtraction of whole numbers.
In Science, the Grade Fives learned about heart disease and began making trading cards of important organs in the body. The Grade Sixes learned about plant classification and began making trading cards of living things.
On Friday, the students learned about complementary colours in Art.
